

The Bhagavad-Gita is the eternal message of spiritual wisdom from ancient India. Always being revered as a true source of spiritual knowledge it reveals the purpose and goal of human existence.
Swami Nikhilananda Saraswati is the Regional Head of Chinmaya Mission Delhi. A born teacher, logical and systematic, he opens the doors for understanding the Truth, as it is, reaching seekers at their own levels. Swami Nikhilananda is also featured in Speaking Tree where you can find videos of these Bhagavadgita discourses. The discourses were given in English from March 2010 to December 2011 at Chinmaya Mission Delhi.

Sri Krishna reveals His nature as God, the one Supreme Reality and shows the path to God-Realisation.
Chapter 8 - On Life and Afterlife
Sri Krishna continues to reveal His nature, answering and clarifying Arjuna's questions. He unfolds the path to experience Him at the time of death.
Chapter 12 - Who is a devotee
The path of Bhakti and the characteristics and qualities natural to a true devotee are revealed.
Chapter 13 - Nature of the Seer and the Seen
Purusha as the Seer and prakriti as the seen are explained. The recognition of and abidance as the Seer is liberation.
Chapter 14 - Moods of the Mind
Sattva, Rajas and Tamas, the three-fold qualities of prakriti seemingly bind the Purusha. The path to Enlightenment is by transcending these qualities.
Chapter 15 - The Cosmic Tree
Nature of the Self is revealed via the metaphor of an inverted Banyan tree.
Chapter 16 - On Good and Evil
The positive and negative qualities of the mind are explained. The positive qualities need cultivation and the negative need to be recognised and negated.
